FLAMMAM → llama · flamme · fiamma

Spanish llama (flame) is the same word as llave and lleno at the start: fl-, cl- and pl- all fused into ll, just as in Portuguese they fused into ch (chama, chave, cheio). French and Catalan kept fl-, and French, like femme, once had a nasal vowel it later gave back. Romanian has no heir: its flame is flacără, from a different Latin word.
